5th National Client Counselling Competition
DAY-1 (29th September 2022)
The School of Law of IMS Unison University organized its 5th National Client Counseling Competition from 29th Sep to 1st oct 2022. It is a competition which helps the budding lawyers to enhance their counseling skill and to ameliorate client- counsel rapport, which is an integral part of advocacy. From all across the country 14 teams enthusiastically participated in the competition few among them are …HPNLU,UPES, Symbiosis law School, Pune, Banasthali Vidhyapeeth ,etc.
Day 1 of the event commenced with the lightning of the lamp to seek the blessings of goddess Saraswati. Dean School of law, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Verma, Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Gurdip Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor respected Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava graced the event with their presence.
The Chief guest of inaugural Hon’ble justice U.C Dhyani , motivated students to be a good leader as court is a micro column of the society .
Soon after the inaugural session, the core event began which was divided into 5 knock out rounds , in each round, teams and their respective clients showcased incredible skills of communication. The proposition basically, was based on family law involving guardianship, matrimony and custody involving twist of jurisdiction . Each round was of 25 minutes in which counsels keenly heard their clients and suggested appropriate course of action.
DAY-2 (30th September 2022)
Day 2 of the event witnessed two semifinal rounds full of power packed performances by the clients and the counsels.
A great spirit of dedication was discerning from the attitude of the participants as they were fully prepared with props and Law books to create a professional ambience. The clients did a mind-boggling presentation of the case. The case was centered on criminal law involving murder , sex determination, abduction and cruelty.
DAY-3 (01st October 2022)
Since the beginning of the 3rd day there was an air of excitement and suspense among the students, everyone was curious to witness the final rounds of the competition.
Only top 2 teams [Law College Dehradun and Symbiosis law School, Pune] got their way into finale of the competition.
After neck-to-neck competition team from law college Dehradun took the winner’s trophy along with prize money to their home.
