The School of Media and Communication Design (SoMCD) organised a two-day National Faculty Development Programme on the topic "Digital Audio Broadcasting: Recent Trends and Technologies" on Fedruaru 24-25. The main objective of the programme was to enhance the skills and knowledge of faculty members in the areas of audio broadcasting and podcasting. The subject expert for the programme was RJ Devanggana Chauhan, renowned RJ and anchor who is presently working with 93.5 Red FM and hoisting their show Morning No.1. The programme witnessed the participation of academicians and research scholars from universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi Assembly Research Centre, Banasthali Vidyapith Aryabhatta Knowledge University, GLA University, Sharda University, Uttaranchal University, and Doon Business School. During these two days, technical and practical sessions emphasizing a variety of topics such as audio production techniques, script writing, voice modulation, and podcast distribution strategies were discussed. The participants also got the opportunity to create their own podcasts. Overall, the sessions were fun & interactive and was appreciated by all.
