Hindi Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of Hindi in the Devanagari script as an official language of the Nation. Hindi was adopted by the Constituent Assembly, on September 14, 1949. Hindi Diwas is seen as a very honourable and remarkable day for our country because on this day nation got its official language. It is celebrated to remind us about the importance of Hindi language and to motivate people to adopt it as colloquial language. With this auspicious thought School of Law culminated celebration of “Hindi Diwas”.
To commemorate the Hindi Diwas, the School of Law organized an event at Seminar Hall, Block – 5 on 14, September 2022 from 02.30 am - 4.00 pm.
The celebration of event initiated with candescence of lamp by Respected Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ravikesh Srivastava, Dean, School of Law Dr. Ashish Verma, Dr. Salini Saxena, Dr. Shoaib Mohammad and the students of School of Law, IUU.
The anchor commenced the event by elaborating the importance and history of Hindi language. The event continued with the thoughts put up by the chief guest about Hindi language, He quoted “Hindi is the mother of all languages “. He made us aware of the fact that Hindi is the 3rd most spoken language worldwide. He concluded his speech with the quote “Language should be such which comes from your heart and reaches others’ hearts”.
The event proceeded with the speech of Prof. Dr. Ashish Verma, Dean, SOL. He quoted “Language is a medium to communicate” and winded up his oration with the poem of Pandit Makhan Lal Chaturvedi.
A total of 18 speakers delivered their speech, poems, and stories in Hindi on the auspicious occasion and most of them were remarkable and splendid. All the speakers helped us in becoming more cognizant about the beauty of Hindi language.
The event was a great success, at the end of the event Dr. Vivek Shukla, Assistant Professor, School of Law proposed the vote of thanks to the Chief Guest, Dean, participants, and other dignitaries present in the event.
Dr. Munish Swaroop and Dr. Vivek Shukla were the faculty convenor and co-convenor, and Arpit Garg & Pooja were the student convenors of this event.
