NATIONAL INTERDISCIPLINARY E-CONFERENCE 2022

The School of Hospitality Management and School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun celebrated International Women's Day by hosting a National Interdisciplinary E-Conference themed on "CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO: GENDERED EMPOWERMENT AND CHANGE" on 8th March 2022. 

The conference started with welcome speeches from Vice Chancellor, Prof. Gautam Sinha, Dean of School of Hospitality Management, Prof. Vinay Rana and Dean of School of Liberal Arts, Prof. Madhu Prabakaran. 

Eminent and illustrious speakers Prof. Nimit Chowdhary from Jamia Milia Islamia (A Central University) and Prof. Manpreet Kaur Kang from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University delivered the keynotes portraying strategic objectives and actions for the advancement of women and the achievement of gender equality.  

The technical session witnessed the deliberation of research papers by various scholars and educationalists with the themes pertaining to women empowerment in the conference that included corporate leadership for gender equality, women empowerment issues and challenges, role of women self-help groups, entrepreneurial opportunities for women, empowerment of women for healthy community development. 

The panel discussion session was invigorating by the presence of distinguished speakers both from the industry and academia. 

The conference was concluded by address from Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava. The entire event was moderated by various faculties from School of Hotel Management and School of Liberal Arts.
