The School of Management, IMS Unison University, organized a sensitization drive and social outreach activity focusing on the theme “Plastic Free Drive” on 21st September 2021. The students innovatively promoted the Campaign of ‘No Plastic Life’ around us thus creating an ecosystem serving the larger goals of society. Many students participated in this campaign wherein they grasped lot of learning from the deliberations made during the event.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gautam Sinha, was the Chief-Guest for the event. In his address, he initially highlighted the significance of ushering a plastic-free environment and concluded his talk by persuading the students to minimize the use of non-degradable plastic items.
The Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ravikesh Srivastava, and Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Amit Adlakha, also counselled and encouraged the students to reduce plastic waste.
The Students of SOM put forward several presentations based on reuse of plastic products and displayed them to portray the ecofriendly message. Additionally, a fund-raising event was driven by various students of MBA, IMBA and BBA, with the aim of promoting reuse plastic products that were enthusiastically designed by them.
The Sincere vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Santanu Roy, Dean, School of Management. Prof. Roy thanked the eminent Chief-Guest for gracing the occasion. He also imparted his utmost gratitude to distinguished dignitaries, event coordinators, management students and to all the Unison family for their magnificent contribution that led the whole event to a great end of success.
